This is not a close protection driving course!
This NCFE-accredited customised programme has been developed to take the protective driving of VIPs (including staff members in hostile environments) to the next level through the application of defensive driving methodologies, and proactive risk management techniques.
The contents of the programme have been taught globally to diplomatic drivers, security personnel, and others directly involved in the protection of assets. The great thing about this programme is that it is also suitable for VIPs themselves as a means of protecting themselves and their families.
The programme is ideally suited to the following groups:
- Chauffeurs
- Fleet drivers
- Security drivers
- Heads of Station
- Staff travelling to difficult or hostile (non-war zones) environments
- Anybody who wants to develop enhanced protective driving skills
The driving instructors are all Level 4 (RoSPA accredited) Advanced Behavioural Driver Trainers who have experience working globally. The risk management and security elements are delivered by Chartered Security Professionals with decades of experience providing protective services to governmental bodies and the corporate world.
This programme last four days and is delivered in the North-East of England and includes the following subjects:
- Driving defensively
- Threat and Hazard Identification
- Professional Conduct
- Protective Route Planning
- Situational Awareness
- Surveillance Detection
- Reaction to Incidents
The programme is not easy, there is pre-course learning, continual driving assessments, and a pass/fail examination, but it will be a rewarding and enjoyable learning experience.
While this course is being delivered from our base in the North-East of England we can deliver it globally, subject to client requirements.
