CIMIC Functional Specialist Course (CFSC):
1 week’s course (5 working days) organized in class lectures and syndicate work. Aim of the course is to provide the Functional Specialist (FS) (*) and the generic individual military or civilian student with a basic understanding of principle tasks, functions and organisation of CIMIC in NATO and of his/her work as a FS in the military CIMIC framework. Course objective is also to enable the FS to fulfil his/her special duty as an element of NATO CIMIC Assets, especially in Crises Response Operations (CRO). Secondary purpose: to create awareness for those civil organizations and individuals who have a
vested interest in Civil Military Interaction.
(*) Functional Specialists (FS) are military or civilian personnel with an expertise in different fields such as: Civil Administration, Civil Infrastructure, Humanitarian Affairs, Economy & Commerce, and Cultural Affairs.
