SMS Training HEAT is a blended combination of theory and practical sessions that will equip participants with the confidence and necessary skills required to help them to avoid or respond to potential threats effectively. During the training, participants will be taught initial departure requirements including medical, security and travel advice along with country context and specific personal safety awareness. All of which will give participants the tools they need to remain safe in their workplace.

HAZARDOUS ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS TRAINING

This training will prepare individuals working with NGO’s and Commercial Organisations to recognise and avoid potential threats when living and working in hostile or uncertain locations. SMS Training HEAT is a blended combination of theory and practical sessions that will equip participants with the confidence and necessary skills required to help them to avoid or respond to potential threats effectively. During the training participants will be taught initial departure requirements including medical, security and travel advice along with country context and specific personal safety awareness. All of which will give participants the tools they need to remain safe in their workplace.

SMS HEAT is mapped against National Occupational Standards NOS SKSJ40 Work in challenging or hostile environments) and also ensures that the employers legislative responsibility to provide training is fully met and that all attending staff are fully prepared for their deployment to locations of elevated risk. the training is led by highly qualified industry professionals with a wealth of experience within the Private and NGO sectors.

Medical aspect of the training is provided by highly experieced instructors from Patronus Rescue International (PRI). Primarily, PRI are a high quality aeromedical and remote medical support provider of health care in parts of the world where access in limited or unavailabale by other means.

Bickleigh Castle, Bickleigh, Tiverton, EX16 8RP.The course is set in the grounds of the prestigious Bickleigh Castle, located in Somerset.
